I found a lump

I found a lump in my right breast. I have implants with fat inserted around the implant.. The fat was used from my body. The lump is tiny and perfectly round. I am going to get it checked out asap but I guess I am looking for hope..Any hope it could be something/anything else? I know it's tiny but even tiny would equal tx.  I am so devastated.

Any feedback is appreciated.

Pur I know a few who have found lups, and they had to do with scar tissuee mostly but a lot were really nothing--have it checked and don't worry unless u have to--but it is kinda normal.

Pure: I had the exact same type of perfectly round lump recently. Onc wasn't really concerned, but given my history, recommended a diagnostic mammogram/US. I ended up having a biopsy. It was fatty necrosis, common after breast surgery (I had a reduction). Let us know how you make out.

I also had a small round lump, that led to an ultrasound and biopsy. It turned out to be scar tissue.

Could be scar tissue. Or an implant leak.  I have a lot of scar tissue that is pretty lumpy.  Get it checked for peace of mind.  Hoping the best for you.

Pure, I haven't had my recon yet, but after my mx, the LE therapist found a perfectly round, firm lump on my chest, near where you'd think the lymph nodes would be.  We both freaked.  She sent me straight to my MO, who sent me straight to my BS, who rolled her eyes and said, "it's scar tissue."  She did a fine-needle biopsy just to be sure, but yes, it was scar tissue.

I'm sure they can biopsy with an implant in place.  They'll just approach it carefully at a good angle so as to not damage it.  Hang in there.  It's so easy to just have a worry melt-down, but I bet you're fine.

My sister in law, who has implants following a double mastectomy, found several small round lumps near her scar line. She had a biopsy and they turned out to be benign. So yes, it does happen, and yes, you can have a biopsy with implants.

I haven't had reconstruction, but about two years after chemo, I felt two pea-sized lumps beneath my port scar. Both my primary care physician and my oncologist didn't know what they were. My onc sent me to the surgeon. The surgeon knew right away what they were...scar tissue had formed around a couple of the inner stitches used to close the area where my port had been. Perhaps you have some inner stitches that are doing the same.

    Pure,

I don't have any insight into your situation, but I just wanted to let you know that you're in my thoughts.

My PS said that fat necrosis is not uncommon with fat grafting and it presents like a small hard bump that can be really scary for breast cancer patients, so hopefully it's just that!  (My PS doesn't do fat grafting for this reason, much to my dismay!)

I had the same thing as Celtic Spirit, just an inner stitch that had formed some scar tissue around it - my PS had to use some big stitches, particularly under my radiated side. I think maybe he said it was a granuloma in case you want to look it up.

    I'm sure it's NOTHING!
