Dear Breastcancer.org Community Members,

We at Breastcancer.org would like to put out a request and challenge during this joyous, yet often stressful and emotional season to see how much happiness, hope, love, encouragement, acceptance, care, etc. we can spread throughout the boards and amongst ourselves. There are so many women and families on our boards who are just starting, or are in the middle of, their cancer journey, or even facing their end of life, and are faced, like you, with the holidays and the turning of the New Year. Let's join together, leave the politics and differences behind, and make a difference. Our combined ‘positive’ energy could be powerful on our boards, and beyond.

So, how can we do this? Add lovely, hopeful quotes, poems, photos throughout the boards; select a newbie and help guide her/him; give a daily cyber hug to someone who is in hospice; post something positive each day, post recipes, holiday or cancer-coping strategies…truly the list is endless.

Remember, we are all connected to one another through this cancer battle, even when politics and other strong opinions divide. So, let's focus on what unites, not divides, and spread hope and brighten the season with a little unity and joy.
