Hello eveyone... 8 + years out and still going strong
Hey everyone:
I thought I would drop by and say hello. It will be 9 years in March since I was dx'd with the beast. I am doing well... still NED. I did have a lung nodule found on my lung found on an incidental chest x-ray in August. I had a CT scan then and just had another one last week. The nodule is stable, and who knows what it is. Most likely it is scar tissue. I remember a time when I would have thought this is the end... hahahaha.
I am also facing a biopsy on a thyroid nodule next week. It may be nothing. I do know thyroid nodules are very common and are usually benign. So again, I am not overly alarmed or scared.
So I know now that amazingly, I have grown through all this BC stuff. A few years ago I was terrified if I had weird symptoms or tests. But now, it is what it is and feel well and hopeful and optimistic. I know that doctors can be alarmed at nothing and that I can get worked up over trivial things.
In short, I am doing terrific! I do not know what I would have done without this group back in those first years after treatment. You all helped me so much I think I should give back.
So I thought I would write and say hello and say life it great and see how you are all doing.
And to newbies, just know that there truly is life after BC and you can get thru it.
Wendy

Hi Wendy, Congratulations. It is so wonderful to hear how well you are doing. Also, you are absolutely correct that if a lung finding does not change on subsequent images(and there has been no tx), it is always benign.
