Luanne, Joanne is good for Michelle's tshirts.
This trip is just what the doctor ordered. The anxiety attacks will be gone and we will have so many laughs. Looking forward to tomorrow .. See you and Christine at my place around 5. -
Luanne - I want to be on the shirt!
Laurie/Believe777 or visa versa. What ever looks best to you. I can see you all table dancing!!! Can't wait to see the photos. -
Like Believe, I can't wait to hear about and see the photos of the Iowa trip!
-
Momof3 - you made my day too. I totally understand.
-
Luanne -please add me to the T-Shirt - Laura/Websister
I have been keeping up with the thread this week since getting back from vacation last week. Busy week with tests, work, things for my Mom and family and a wedding we are part of this weekend.
Welcome to all who are new, it has all been said
Hugs to all going through discomfort or down times, in pockets of those having tests, treatments or surgeries. Looking forward to hearing updates of Michelle's run and the get together. Wish I could have been there.
Juneau - hope the mortgage is still workable for you after all the effort put into this house
Ramols - loved your sharing of your 'happy', how wonderful!
Take care all -
Luanne- I definitely want to be on the shirt Christy/Chrisrenee!
Well I am having another surgery in October. This one will be to do some additonal lipo in the cleavage area as well as pinning down the cleavage area to give more definition to the cleavage and finally getting nips. I'm excited about all of this not necessarily about how much its costing me but its worth it.
Today is cleaning day at my house not looking forward to it. Me and the kids will be meeting up with my dad and his new girlfriend to celebrate his birthday. I've never met the GF but there's a first for everything right? My dad hasn't dated in over 25 yrs because he's been married to my stepmom for that long. I'm nervous about meeting this woman, nervous about how much he's told her about me and possibly my friend BC. The last thing i want is to be stared at in the middle of lunch. Hope everyone is having a good day. love you all!
-
Luanne - please add me to the list - just Jennie unless there's more than one of us. :-)
I will be with you all in spirit, wish I could be there for real, maybe next time. You are all awesome! -
Got everyone so far :-) I will keep checking here for more and send the list to Michelle tomorrow afternoon. I have a few screen names I can't think if real names for
Ireland
Momof3
Ramols
Liefie
Barsco
Otherwise I will send her the screen names. Lol so far 26 names, they may have to write in her arms and legs -
Hey Luanne, I sent you a pm about the shirt but please add me too...Outdamnedspot/Jackie.
I'm so happy that your trip is almost here...what a time you will have and we're all looking forward to hearing about it. Will be with you in spirit. Keep us posted (if you can) on Michelle's progress.
Safe travels and to everyone else, enjoy the weekend. It's a perfect summer day here in Ontario. More heat and humidity coming next week. Anyone on Tamoxifen finding it hard to handle the heat? I started it in November and didn't mind the hot flashes and night sweats, but some days I can't stop sweating.
-
Outdamned I'm constantly wondering if I'm having a hot flash or if the A/C isn't working!!
-
I'd like to be on the shirt too. "Stride" seems appropriate for a run. I wish I could be there in person. I hope you all have a fantastic time!
-
this is how i see this week with all you beautiful ladies going to Iowa.
-
Hahaha ... That is Mary's song ... 💃🍹🍻
-
It covers everything ... Jello shooters too
-
Luanne, in the 30 years we have lived in our house, we never needed A/C as we get a great breeze off Lake Ontario. Someone's coming next week to give us a price as I am too Freakin hot and finally DH realized 'a happy wife is a happy life.'
-
Luanne please add me, Marian.
-
Cameras are ready for the Iowa excitement. Hopefully someone from the group can help me get some of them uploaded to share with everyone on the fly. We may have to censor some of Scotties shenanigans though i am told. Lol.
-
Luanne - please add me and my name is Amy.
I am so jealous of all of you getting together, but I will be there in spirit with all of you while I sit and recover. I will also be waiting to hear details and see pictures. -
Shianne, please add me - Annemarie/Liefie. Will be great to get photo updates. Forget about all your troubles, girls, and just go for it. I'm so jealous! Mcook, remember for each person there you have quite a few more cybersisters cheering you on. You go girl!
Momof3, sending you good wishes for a boring, uneventful surgery and recovery. Staying busy is the best medicine now - you've got it!
Outdamnedspot, yes, for me it is defo harder to handle the heat on Tamo. I'm staying away from tea, coffee and other hot liquids at the moment. What is also very helpful is a ceiling fan above my bed. When DH had it installed 5 years ago when we renovated, I vehemently opposed him, because I yet have to meet a stylish ceiling fan. Now? Couldn't care less what it looks like, as long as it keeps me cool at night. It was an excellent investment, ugly or not. Our room is at the top of the house, and gets very hot. It's been hot here on Van Island too, but no complaining. Come November, it will start raining again for 5 months . . . lol.
2FriedEggs and Aruba, the further I get away from bc treatment, the more I realize how my reality has been changed for ever. The clock cannot be turned back, and I will never again be that person that I was before my diagnosis. I now live with an ever present awareness that my life can change again in an instant, and that time is really a very precious gift. Next week I will be 59 years old. Before bc I dreaded getting older, and 60 seemed ancient to me! Now I want to embrace and celebrate every birthday, and see the time that I've been given as a blessing. I am also way more aware of what really matters in life, and could not be bothered any more by certain things that bothered me before. It would have been better never to have had bc, but in a certain way I had received a wake-up call, and for me that's a positive thing. I needed to be reminded how precious life and health are, because I had been taking it for granted for a very long time.
-
Iatigger.....huh!!!
-
OK Scottie maybe my imagination is thinking you are going to be the wild one in the bunch.
-
Iatigger....I'm the "old" one in the group, how could that possibly be....😇😎💃
-
What? Old can't be wild? Since when?
-
I think it is that Scottish in you.
Exactly Liefie! -
Ok you two, if I'm "naughty" on this trip I have other people to blame now....great!!!!!....💃
-
I saw these midwestern guys heading toward Iowa. They said they heard a group of girls gone wild is on the way to Iowa this week...hmm... What goes on in Iowa gets posted on this thread!!
-
Aruba....ha ha ha ...I think I'll skip Chicago and head straight for Iowa if that's what I have to look forward to.....💃
-
Hey mcook! Please include me on the shirt too, Carolyn Bernardi. I had fully intended to be there to cheer you on and meet some of my fellow Warriors but that is not to be. My last surgery is Thursday to have the tubes and ovaries removed but I will be with you all in spirit. All the best for a lot of fun, fun, fun and a record-breaking performance. Can't wait to hear about it and see some pics. Stay safe and well y'all. Peace!
-
Cmbernardi - good luck with your surgery Thursday! You will be in my prayers! I will try to be in your pockets as long as I am freed from the hospital after my surgery Monday. I had a full hysterectomy including overirs and tubes back in January. It wasn't bad, but remember to make sure you do what they say after or you can have major issues.
Take care and keep us posted when you can.
Gentle hugs coming your way.
