Oncoligist or surgen pls help

My mother did biopsy through general surgen. Now , after diagnosed with cancer I have to take her to oncologist or the current surgen is ok? He also do treatment for cancer.Thanks for all replies.

    She needs to see a oncologist Zohra. Someone who is specialized in cancer treatments and up to date on it

    Zohra,

    Yes, an oncologist will oversee treatment regimen for her cancer but if further surgery is required, such as a mastectomy, a surgeon will be part of her treatment team as well. When dealing with bc, we often have several types of doctors to deal with each aspect of the disease. Best wishes for your mom.
