Hi all! I was just given information yesterday for a clinical trial involving taking Metformin for five years.  They say that Metformin "looks good on paper" as far as reducing the chances of reoccurence.  I am a nurse, so I know a bit about this medication already. Was just curious if there is anyone else on here in the trial and their opinions about it? Thanks!!

I tried to join. I was stage 1, bilateral, but my tumors separately weren't aggressive enough to qualify and they didn't consider bilateral in the study. I was eager to participate and it looked very promising with no down side if the Metformin can be tolerated.

Hi Katylynn. There's a bunch of us on the Metformin trial on the threads "Metformin and Breast Cancer" and " Metformin- Anyone on this trial?". Plenty of information too...Smile

Hi Katy, I just enrolled today. I'm an RN too. Looks exciting if you are the one chosen to receive the med and not the placebo. So what did you decide to do?
