Blood pressure cuff pain

I don't want to sound like a whiny kid, but since I had the BMX+ LD recon, blood pressure cuffs bring me to tears - and I used to have a very high pain tolerance level. Anyone else experiences this?

    YES!!!!  I thought I was the only one.  I'm OK with the old fashioned manual BP cuffs if the nurse doesn't get carried away, but those machine ones bring me to tears.  And of course the pain spikes my BP levels and I get an unnaturally high reading.  I have LE in the right arm so can only use the left for BP, and I've taken to insisting that only manual BP cuffs be used.  If a doctor's office only has a machine, then I do not permit my BP to be taken that day.

    Yes and bruises too. Make sure there are no creases on the cuff. Never mind the nurse - check.

    Also is the cuff the right size for you? I have heavy arms so make sure that a large size cuff is used.

    Its still sore - but not enough to cause bruising
