Insurance and Other Financial Issues

Thanks for reading my post.My mother had two mammogram and one ultra sound. Now , the Doctor said for biopsy on Wednesday.He said 85% chance is Breast cancer. She has very pain in her breast. There is a lump. She has pain also in her arm. She start to lose her weight so quick. She lost her job on Aug. She don't have any insurance. But , local hospital is ready to help her. My income is very low but with the help of my brother may be we can get insurance for her.

My question is about her treatment. I am confuse. I don't know I have to go with the hospital doctors or I have to get insurance for her and take her to a top surgen. Its hard for me to afford but I want to do my best.

I can apply for state Medicaid . (it take time to approve)Still top surgeons don't accept Medicaid.

At same time I cant late

Is there some one who did treatment through there (Medicaid card).Or hospital?Is Treatment same?Or only patient get good treatment who has insurance?

If your local hospital is willing to help, I would check with them first. Many hospitals have good  assistance programs. I started out not having insurance, went through a state program with my hospital and ended up with the head oncologist at our very large hospital. Just because you dont have insurance doesnt mean your mother wont get good care. In my case it was the opposite. My insurance company denies more than medicaid or the hospital ever did.Good luck.
