Thanks for setting this up Racy it will be good to have a thread so we can see where we are all up to.
So - to recap.
I'm arriving in Brisbane on Friday 7 Dec at 10.15am
Leave Brisbane on Sunday 9 Dec at 2.15pm.
Staying at Oaks on Margaret with Kate and Linda.
One thing I would like some guidance on from the Brisbane girls - what's the best way to get from the airport to the city. It's been a few years since I've been up there, and it was always for work, so just caught a cab into the city, but would like some cheaper alternatives if there are some.
Kate arrives on Friday 7 Dec at 2.15pm (? Putting this in from your post on the other thread Kate - so hope it's right)
Anything else we need to put down here?

Trish, you can take the Airtrain to Central, which costs $15. You can then get the free red bus from opposite the station on Ann St down to Margaret Street.
-
Or you can book an airport to city shuttle bus which may take you direct to your accommodation. Cost is about the same as train.
-
Thanks Racy!

I think the best way forward would be for the get together of all of us to be at lunch time on the Saturday. Then if anyone want's to have dinner together on the Saturday night we can organise that at lunch time.
Linda, Kate and I will be having dinner together on the Friday night - Linda can you advise what time you think you might get to the hotel on Friday? - but anyone who want's to join us on the Friday is very welcome.
How does that sound?

-
Trish - I think earlier in the day on Saturday would be better.
-
Sure - what time do you suggest?
-
Ladies, I was thinking Georges Paragon is a lovely venue. It's not far from Margaret St, on the river. Seafood/meats/Greek. Could book for Friday evening or Saturday lunch.
-
Jenn went to Georges and enjoyed it, I think. I have been there several times.
-
If we are all there we could meet for dinner Friday and then decide what we wanted to do on Saturday.
Just a thought. -
Sounds good to me Chrissy, but I thought Sue didn't want to go out at night?
Racy Georges sounds good, I'm happy with whatever you guys pick

And i'm happy to go with the flow too. Thats a good suggestion about lunch on saturday and then just taking it from there. Thanks for the tips on getting to the city from the airport. Not long to go now. Xx
-
Really? Oh okay, I had forgotten......sorry Sue. Well I guess Saturday lunch then.....just seems a shame that we don't take full advantage of the short time we have. xx
-
Well we are available on the Friday if you want to come in Chrissy. Maybe if it's not too late a night Sue will be ok?
What do you think Sue?

Tickets are booked and my Niece will pick me up from the airport so I can spend some time with her and her mum before heading out to Sue's place. Sue if you will PM me your address, niece said she would drop me right at your door. This is really getting exciting now!.....woohoo!!!!!!
-
Where does your niece live, Chrissy?
-
Ladies, I plan to be available to meet you Friday evening.
-
Racy, she lives in Balmoral.
-
Chrissy, that is close to where I live :-).
-
Cool.
-
Ladies, I will make a booking at Georges for 6 pm on Friday. As it is close to Christmas, it's best to book early.
By meeting at 6, we can take advantage of the early diners pricing. And it might not be too late for Sue.
Lynda, can you get there by 6?
Georges has a varied menu. Does anyone have any special requirements eg organic vegan? -
Nothing special here! I eat anything as long as its good.........lol
-
thanks Racy, soundes wonderful. No dietary limitations for me.
-
Racy - thank you for organising that :-) I'm happy with just about anything lol
It's getting close now

Me three!!!!
-
I have booked Georges Paragon for Friday 7th at 6 pm in name of Racy. It is on the river near where you ladies are staying.
-
Sounds good Racy. I can always catch a cab or a bus if the evening is a problem for Sue.
-
Yay, I'm so looking forward to meeting you all :-) Of course I feel like I know you all already so it will sort of be like a reunion lol
Trish
