No Rads

 I'm sure this thread is started somewhere else, but I couldn't find one.  Maybe it should be in DCIS forum? 

Has anyone opted for no rads on low grade, small size, DCIS?    I meet with the RO tomorrow and have read so many studies about side effects and possible cancer/heart problems down the road.  Very fearful of rads.

Bobbin, the answer to your question is "Yes", more and more we are seeing women who have small low grade DCIS and good surgical margins who are opting to pass on rads.  

It would be a good idea to post this in the DCIS forum so that more women with DCIS will see it, particularly those who decided to not have rads. They aren't likely to be  reading here.
