Although there are likely no clinical studies with women with a history of paralysis prior to bc diagnosis, I wanted to reach out to the bco community to see if there are more women like me. I had a massive tumor yet it apparently has not spread or even gone to the nodes. I had a stroke 13 years before bc, and I suffer from right side hemiperisis. I have little use of my right hand and my right leg is affected. Despite this, I get along well and am very active, but my muscles have atrophied quite a bit. Even my veins are smaller. My cancer was also on the right side. So my theory is that my cancer didn't spread due to the weakness in my right size.

When I had my mastectomy and the dye study to track the nodes, the dye immeadiately traveled to the nodes on my left side but lay motionless in my right side. They took two more pictures at 15-20 minute intervals and the left side continued to travel while the right side stayed in the breast. So I would appreciate hearing from anyone with bc and a history of any kind of paralysis/perisis, both on the same side/area. And sorry for the overuse of "/'s". How annoying.
