I would like to see everyone share how long they have been surviving this cancer...............I think we hear mainly of the ones who lost their fight and I would love to see people like youwearpink 10 years and still surviving this TNBC post and give us all hope.   We don't see enough of that.    So, how about all of us share how long we have been surviving.  I know our diagnoses is on the bottom of our post but it would be nice to just read it without reading the bottom of them all.............:)

10 years out from my first bout of stage 2b. 17 months out from my second bout. Both triple negative and positive nodes. BRCA 1 positive also.

You all need some reassurance - I beat my cancer, did not beat me!!!  I am 12 years out, diagnosed at 40; found the lump myself, was brushed off by my OB for 3 months before insisting that I have a mammogram.  Needless to say, my life changed that day!  I was stage 1B, negative nodes and a 3 centemeter tumor on my left breast.  12 years later, here I am as healthy as can be.  There is hope - you need to take the attitude that living with the check ups, blood work and worry is a part of who you are now.  Each year it becomes easier to deal with.  I just came home this morning from a scare - had my annual mammo last week and was called back as they detected some micro calcifications on my left breast.  I handled the scare very well over the weekend, knowing that nothing could be as bad as what I dealt with the first time around.  After the magnified views, determined that they were due to the breast lift surgery I had 3 years ago and calcifications were showing up around my scar.  Whewwww!  Hange in there and rejoice each and every year you are healthy.  Turning 50 a few years ago was a piece of cake for me as compared to my friends - I am happy to be over 50!!!  God Bless all of you and wish you many years of health.
