Skin saving Masectomy that didn't work

I am new to this forum and relatively new to BC (diagnosed June 25th).  Diagnosis was made with a surgical bioppsy  - Stage I - IDC in June (needle biopsy couldn't be done when attempted).  In July, I opted for a masectomy - skin saving with reconstruction.  The skin didn't make it and in August I had to have a Dorsi flap (couldn't do the abdomen flap due to previous gut surgery).  Now facing probably 2 more surgeries to try to achieve some symmetry or recognizable shape.  Very disappointed.  Wondering if anyone else has had this experience, or could offer any encouragement.
