Effects after 5 years of Tamoxifen

I have been off of Tamoxifen for 3 months after the standard 5 years. I am now spotting, had a pelvic ultrasound which shows a thickened endometrium. I am to be scheduled for a hysteroscopy with d&C. Is this common or should I be concerned? I am fully in menopause according to my hormone levels.
