I have posted about my experience with my solaris night sleeve. Well I have the newest one back (last Friday) and at first I thought it might need to be altered but it seems the length of the sleeve is too short - doesn't go all the way up my arm unless really stretched beyond the norm and then falls back down upon movement, the upper arm is too loose - my arm just sits in it and my hand can go in the space between my arm and the sleeve, the thumb and surrounding area are too tight/too long - my thumb aches, tingles and gets cold - enough to wake me up. There are also friction marks at the thumb and finger. The first couple days I was able to see and feel the channels left by the sleeve/foam which this time is supposed to be more dense foam (to me it looks thinner and I assume this is normal?). But not so much now on the lower arm and almost not at all on the upper arm. In the past I could get about a weeks use before needing to launder the sleeve. The fitter told me I had to contact them early this week to let them know if the sleeve was fitting well so I left a message for the new fitter at the old place with my concerns. I guess it would be a good idea or wouldn't hurt to contact the person helping me at Solaris letting her know as well?

I have never had any problems with this kind of sleeve in the past which confirms the reason why all the problems - the fitter (new owner and new fitters). So how many have had problems with getting their sleeve done correct, this has been going on for 9 + months?

Just an added note. I found a new place with a new fitter (almost an hour away) and was measured for my day sleeves this week. I took a chance and took my old night sleeve and my newest remake of my new night sleeve. Now I am not asking the new place to take over on the night sleeve. This place has nothing to gain and I would imagine does not want the headaches of the situation. But they did confirm my concerns. Not only this they were shocked to see the previous day sleeves, the last one made in June of this year and the fit (I can't even wear this sleeve). I know I can not do any thing about the day sleeve but to be able to confirm that I am not imagining that this fitter is messing up on measuring/fitting sleeves.

Be sure to get back in touch with the Solaris people (they are here in SE Wisconsin). As a business with a reputation to uphold, I think they would want to make sure their product is correct. They are so expensive, even with insurance, that you deserve it to be done right!

I'm thinking of getting my Tribute "taken in" before the end of the year - I managed to drop a few pounds and now the upper arm is a little loose. I understand it can be resized within 12 months at no charge.
