Am I freaking out?

Hi Ladies.... I was diagnosed last year on December 7th.  Stage IIB IDC.  2.5 CM in the right breast and 2 impacted lymph nodes.  No mets elsewhere.  So I've been doing great - finished my chemo in January this year and had surgery on 2/1 (double mastectomy).  I am still working on the reconstruction but should be done by the end of the year.

I had two small blood clots (PEs in my lung) due to my port so they had me on coumadin for some months.  When it came time to start Tamoxifen, my MO wanted to put me on Femara instead because there is a slightly lower risk of blood clots.  So - since I am 36 and not in menopause naturally, I get a zoladex shot once a month so that the femara works.  I also take zoloft to help with the hot flashes (its iffy whether it does or not cause i still have them.  Don't want to try to see what's its like off the zoloft becasue if its worse - MY GOD!!)

So here's my question - I lost my zoloft prescription last week - thursday i think.  So I was without it Friday, Saturday, Sunday.  I finally got it filled and took it Monday.

I have been having this really weird feeling..... i am going to have a hard time describing it.  My head just feels really woozy and weird, and my ears sound like they are under water (you know how its kind of a muffled feeling) or like i just gor out of a really loud concert.  It almost feels like I am on a strong pain pill and out of it - for a period of like 5 seconds.  It happens multiple times a day.  I have researched coming off zoloft (even though it was only for 3 days) and there are similar symptoms - but I would think that since I have been back on it for 3 days now, any side effects would have passed.

Anyone epxerience this?  I halfway want to called my MO and see, but I don't want to run to the MO every time I have an ache or pain.

I have had a bone, abdomen, chest scan 3 months after i finished chemo and no signs of mets.  My next round will be in November.  Thinking about it - I have never had a head scan (other than for bone).

Am i freaking out a little??

I think you are probably experiencing the effects of not having your Zoloft for a few days. One is not supposed to come off of it cold turkey. I totally relate to your anxiety though! Best wishes!

It's the not taking the Zoloft.  It can cause brain "freezes", etc.  I had that when I took Effexor years ago.  Don't worry!  Easier said than done, right?!

I'm thinking too, that it's the zoloft. My sister did something similar to you.....decided on her own just to stop taking it. She had dizzy spells and said that at times, it was like the "cable went off for a split second" in her brain.... Weird!!!!
