Help spread breast cancer awreness at my school in 5 seconds
I am new to the discussion boards. I am posting this to gain as much help as I can to get breast cancer awareness across my campus. Its hard because I am one person. I lost my aunt to breast cancer the past summer; she found out late that she had the cancer and by then it was too far. She outlived longer then the doctor told her she would. This event left me weak and devestated but through forums I have found people in the same situation. I am posting this because I have entered a contest that if I win I will get the opportunity to talk in front of all the students at my school about breast cancer awareness. I am all for the cause I went as far as painting my rims breast cancer pink, breast cancer special plates, and breast cancer ribbons on my car. I am doing all I can! All you have to do is click the link and like my cars photo on facebook. If I get the most likes I can preach to the school! Please help the cause and please share it to your friends; it means so much to me! Sincerely Ivan Jimenez

BCASupporter, I can certainly understand your desire to help.
I've been dealing with bc for almost two years. I believe you have a sincere desire to BE EFFECTIVE in your efforts to help those with this disease. Many of us have the following sentiments about bc (breast cancer). These are they type of comments I'm making on my FB page this month:
We are all *aware* of breast cancer. Please, let's move forward with an emphasis on breast cancer RESEARCH, PREVENTION and a CURE.
After 3 decades of “awareness” campaigns and billions of dollars raised, breast cancer remains a public health crisis of epidemic proportions. It is time to demand that our elected officials take bold, meaningful action for breast cancer prevention and better breast cancer treatments through independent research and strong regulation.
I know you mean well, and I'll go on your FB page and like what you've asked. If you get the chance to talk to those on your campus, please tell them we want a CURE!
