Just diagnosed with a recurrence in axillary lymph node.

Hello ladies. I am just wondering if some of you experienced
the same type of recurrence.  The
ultrasound findings: 8mm enlarged axillary lymph node.  I had a biopsy last Thursday.   Just
went to see my oncologist and she told me that the node is malignant with
adenocarcinoma. We don't have the results of ER/PR/HER 2 status yet.

My initial diagnoses was 2.5 years ago at the age of 36 with
a stage 2 triple positive 1 lymph node positive as well.

I had neoadjuvant chemo with a complete pathological
response + Herceptin for 1 year.   At the time of the surgery there was no tumor (previously
1.6 cm and no lymph nodes positive) left.
I did have axillary dissection and
lymph node removal.

I have been taking Tamoxifen for 1.5 years now.

Did any of you experienced similar recurrence??  If yes can you please share how you are doing
right now and how your reoccurrence was treated?

I am scared and confused. ....... I will have a CT scan of the brain , a PET scan and I am seeing the
surgeon this Friday.

Hugs,

Daniela
