They've commandeered my parking space! Help!

Options

They're working on roof repair of the condo complex where I live. When I came home from work last night, my parking space was taken by one of the roofer's trucks. I parked in Visitor's.  This morning when I left for work, the same truck was parked in my space.

This morning, I called the management group and told them I was Stage IV, with mets, etc., and that the long walk from visitor's parking to my unit is too long for my condition.  I was told that "it will only be 2 weeks".  I said that 2 weeks is too long for me to undergo this hardship. They also said they would work on alternative parking closer.

I suggested that, instead of using my parking space, they use a space of one of the younger (they all are), healthier unit occupiers.

Who can I contact in order to get my space back?  Americans With Disabilities? AARP? I think it would take too long.

Anyone have any suggestions as to what to say?  I'm going home for lunch, so I need feedback.  Thanks.

Amontro, the only thing I can think of is to call multiple times a day. Just keep telling everyone you have cancer and you can't walk that distance. If there ever was a time to pull the cancer card, this is it.

Maybe park in the space of someone in the management group...

I really dont think they can do that.

    Its reserved right?

Yes its time to pull out that cancer card over and over again AND if you dont get results in a day or 2 call your local politician..or at least tell them you are goin to do that.

I live in senior housing and if anyone parks in a reserved spot the car gets towed away.

Make lots of noise. The squeeky wheel gets the grease....

    Good luck!

Just got back from lunch.  I went to the back of the building and talked to the foreman.  He seemed to already know what I was telling him. And, yes, I did use the cancer card. He seemed understanding and told me none of his crew would park there again. I hope so.  My neighbor was kind enough to come with me and, after I saw the foreman, I cried on neighbor's shoulder in relief.

    Thank you Leah and grannydukes.
