Has this happened to you?
In October 2011, I went to my pcp due to enlarged lymphnodes I noticed in my left axillary. They sent me for a mammogram which had noted a 6mm nodule in the upper left quadrant of breast. News to me! I never even noticed it! Repeat in a year, no malignancy found. I then had a left axillary biopsy in November 2011 due to the swollen lymphnodes. Came back clear.
Well in May 2012, I noticed a bruise on my left breast. Didn't think much about it other than maybe I bumped it, but couldn't remember when or where. I started having some discharge out of the left breast only. And its spontaneous. (My youngest child is 10 so I know it's been too long for colostrum). Well this is September and the bruise hasnt gone away as of yet nor has the discharge. I felt a small pea side nodule in it last month while showering, menioned it to my hubby that I would probably just wait for my mammo in November. He said no, go to the dr and let him check it, so I went to my pcp. They sent me for a ultrasound. Ultrasound said there was a 8mm palpable mass in the upper left quadrant of breast (same spot the mammo picked up on in October last year) No further comment. So my husband and I decided to get a second opinion, and did a self referral to MD Anderson. I went this past Friday, the dr was very concerned about the bruise and lump. Ended up having another mammo, ultrasound and then to my surprise a FNA biopsy ultrasound guided. Dr said it was benign and seems to be fat necrosis. Follow up in 3 months, if bruise it still there, she will order MRI.
Has anyone else had this happen? I should feel relieved but I can't say I am. I feel something isn't right.
(I have no BC family history. I am 31 with 3 kiddos. Had a total hysterectomy in 2010 due to heavy cysts. Been on HRT for 2 years now.)
Just looking for some input from people who had this happen. We're you eventually diagnosed with anything??

I admit that I have not had anything similiar, but yes, it does sound fishy. The fact is that the mass(?) is bigger now that it was last fall. I'm was diagnosed with BC in March of this year and am 31 as well. We have three kiddos, all of which I breastfed, and I have NO family hx of cancer whatsoever! I guess I've learned that I'm definitely not invincible. My suggestion is that you see a breast specialist if any way possible. Good luck...hope you get some "good" answers!

I would go see a Breast Surgeon just to make sure, sometimes I wish I asked more questions since my family is riddled with Ovarian/Breast Cancer.
