No Steroids

Hi,

I am currently undergoing 4 tx of FEC100 and 4 Taxotere. Am on #3 of the FEC. I also get a Neulasta shot the day after every tx.

I had a horrible reaction to the steroids, which they usually say happens more often in the elderly (I am 43). I had major hallucinations and was speaking nonsense, scared the **** out of my poor husband. Onc says no more steriods.

On tx #3  I did it without steroids and it has been pure hell and with one more FEC and 4 Taxotere I am scared going forward. Anyone elso out there with the same issue? What can be used instead, or what have you done to minimize the se's? Obviously I am having ongoing convos with my doctors but maybe there is something out there I am missing.
