I had problems too. I had a lumpectomy, and I didn't have that much disfigurement, but nevertheless was so preoccupied with how my life had changed, that I had no interest in intimacy at all. This, in spite of having a wonderful husband. I may have some low-grade depression as well, it runs in my family and I am also dealing with an episode of major depression with my adult daughter, which has been very stressful.

Don't be concerned re your pills or how many you take. They are your lifeline. Keep talking to your husband, so he understands where your head is at, and so he doesn't take it personally.

One thing that worked for me was a weekend away, to a nice B and B. It relaxed me, gave me some perspective and helped me remember that there is a life beyond breast cancer. Both my husband and I had a good time, if you know what I mean! So we tried it again, 6 weeks later, and it worked again. So that's my method, for what it's worth....
