Saw a woman who looked kind of down. I smiled at her I saw her glance at my scar and then I glanced at her head and noticed she was wearing a hat over her bald head. I asked her how it was going? She said she was having a rough patch. But my smile and my willingness to stop and ask her how it was going was really good medicine. She said no one takes the time to smile anymore. We talked and even hugged and wished each other luck. This is a very strange club that you don't ask to become a member but yet you are and you are in it for life, you have a bond with total strangers. But it made me realize I really need to be more aware of my surroundings. How many more people can we make feel better if we took the time to smile or say hi or even excuse me. I am going to try and be less bitchy and more friendly when I am out in public. Maybe I can make more peoples day because it felt dam good to see that lady leave feeling better than when she walked in!
