Costochondritis?

Hi, I was diagnosed in April with IDC.  Had a lumpectomy (1.2 cm) in May with good margins, no nodes involved & tubular(all contained).  Started Rads in July & have completed 29 of 35..20 full & 9 boosts (plan was 26 full & 9 boosts) I have had several SE's w treatment ...2 breast infections treated w/strong antibiotics, developed costochondritis (ouch), and acid reflex...Dr. says I can be done but may drop my reoccurrance down from 98% to 94 or 96%...afraid costochondritis will return with the remaining full 6 and not go away.  Has anyone else dealt with this SE?

I had costochondritis before BC, so I feel your pain. Mine comes and goes with physical stress/positions or mental stress. I don't think mine got any worse with rads, but I was on a lot of painkillers for another problem so who knows. What does your Dr. say about the likelihood of the last six making the costochondritis worse? If you stop, would you worry about not completing all the rads ... maybe regret it later?
