Insurance should pay mammos 100%

As a survivor had multiple mammos on my yearly as usual. Ex cancelled me offf ins before divorce was final. Therefore have 500 in past due mammos.As a survivor this is such a slap in the face that my account has gone to collection. Isn't there any aid for working people? I need my mammos to live. Hello

Sherag, check with the National Breast & Cervical Cancer Program:  http://www.cdc.gov/cancer/nbccedp/     I believe they facilitate free mammos for women who don't have health insurance.

If they can't help you, perhaps they can direct you to someone who can.     Deanna

Are you able to get Cobra from you ex's company? I believe in the case of divorce you can. Maybe check online or call the company's HR dept.

Sherag do you have a divorce attorney? Your ex's move seems malicious (dumping you from a policy w/o giving you time to get other coverage). I wonder if a judge would make you ex pay these bills.
