Felisa, what treatment are you taking? What are the side effects?

The people here are always willing to help but please be more specific so we can.

Meanwhile, I'm holding your hand to help your get through.

Hi Felisa, as Leah said we need a few specifics so they can be addressed and useful advice given. In the mean time just know that there are many women here who are going through all sorts of treatments and are willing and able to help.

    Hang in there!

    Love n hugs. Chrissy

    Felisa:

Your "please" title to your post hit a chord with me as I browsed through the posts - even though I am 3 years out from my A/C & T.  It's a journey that one never forgets.  I did not have an easy time with my 8 chemos due to many, many side-effects.  If it could happen - it did - to me.  But with the help of those around me supporting me constantly, and a few kicks to the butt about how I have to finish out the treatments no matter what, I did see the light at the end of the tunnel.  It really does end and you do live through it!  I have no magic potions or handy tips other than what is posted all over this site, but I do want you to know you are not alone in what you are suffering and having to endure.  Just keep hanging on to that "this too shall pass" phrase and know that we are all here to help you in way way possible to get you to the "finish line."  God bless,

    Linda

Definitely make sure you don't have a fever. Make sure you are drinking a lot of water! Are you taking any medications for nausea? Some of them can make you a little foggy. Chemo in general made me foggy.

    Felisa,

Your "please" tugged at my heartstrings too. I had Adriamycin and Cytoxan, then Taxol, so a little different than your chemo, but similar. I had a lot of dizziness, as well as vertigo, and it was apparently mostly from the decadron (aka dexamethasone) I was taking.  My doctor lowered my dose and that made me feel much better. Are you taking decadron? I agree that you should monitor your temperature and make sure to let your doctor know right away if you have a fever. Is your booster shot neulasta?

I hope you are feeling better very soon!
