HER2+ StageIII recurrence post Herceptin?

Im curious how many HER2+ StageIII people are out there that had a recurrence even with Herceptin treatment? Maybe this is the wrong group... would they move on to Stage IV group...?

Just not sleeping with the fear of recurrence. New tiny spot in my previously healthy breast.

    Well, I am not stage 3, I was stage 2 and I had a recurrence 4 years after finishing my year of herceptin.  I am stage 4 because it went to my liver. If it returns to your breast, you are not stage 4.  If it is in your opposite breast, the odds are it is a new primary, so whether you did herceptin or not may not matter, as the new cancer may or may not be her2+.

    Thank you Laurie, for your input. Ive had someone say to me "thank God you were HER2+". Im so grateful to the women who took part in the clinical trials for herceptin and thankful that the drug was available when my cancer occurred! But i dont think that clears me from cancer. My onc has never and will never use the word "cured". Remission is still what i hear. And fear of recurrence is what i face.
