IDC, 1 cm, Stage 2A, Grade 3, clear margins w/Lump -Anyone Else?

So I did TCx4 and am nearly done wth rads but didn't have oncotype or whole body scan.  Should I be worried that this was not enough?

You already did chemo so you have that covered. You could still do an oncotype if you feel it would benefit you knowing recuurence rate. They usually do a body scan if you have 4 nodes +. The tumor profile has excellent prognostic factors, was small, hormonal+ and Her2-all good things! If you don't feel anything like bone pain or coughing, why expose yourself to more rads than needed? Run with this!!!!

Thanks Pearl.  I had 1 of 2 nodes with micrometastesis.  I am just concerned that maybe more could be done to lower risk of recurrence.

Micrometastesis are often treated as "node negative".

HVV, my DX was similar to yours, a small grade 3 tumor. I had surgery, TCx4, rads, 1 of 3 nodes with mets. I did take the Oncotype and had a score of 8. However, my MO said that score really is for women with clear nodes and docs are of different opinions on whether to treat patients with micromets as node positive or node negative. So, it put a damper on my relief at getting a score of 8. I'm now on Arimidex and in a Metformin clinical trial. 

If I were you, I'd not do anything else right now.

I have not posted much in the past, but getting ready for active treatment; rads next,

I am also IDC, Stage 2A, Grade 3, clear margins w/Lump (2.2 cm tumor). My oncotype score was 15, so since I had clear nodes, no chemo- I will find out tomorrow about the length of rad trxt.  Good Luck to all of you

My diagnosis is close to yours. I had onco score of 16 so no chemo. I had internal radiation and I dont see lots of posts re that.

Hi, I am 35. Had my lumpectomy on nov.1. My lump was 2.5 cm. I had 3 nodes removed and they were negative. My doc said my stage is a 2a. I go back on the 17th for my oncotype report. Kinda nervous waiting on the info. All this can be overwhelming. Very happy to know there are other women with the same feelings I have:) hugs to all of you;)

HVV,  You didn't mention hormonal therapy.  With ER+ your onc would recommend it after rads .  Either tamoxifen or one of the AI's depending on whether you are pre or post menopausal.   There are many good threads on all the hormonals.
