letrozole therapy, hives, high liver emzymes

i had a lumpectomy and then radiation with good results.  My doctor put me on Letrozole 2.5mg/day starting last weekend.  For the past 2 days the iching has been out of control, especially the hives on my feet. Per the doctor I am taking oral benadryl and zantac then appying hydrocortisone cream. It works for about 30-45 mins.  Has this ever happened to any of you?  Also my liver enzymes are sky high since i starting taking letrzole ans i have not even had a drink.  Any info or experiences would helpful.

Greer, I haven't had this reaction, but did you check the ingredients of the pills? It could be you're allergic to a filler and need to switch to another brand. Since letrozole is now generic you should be able to do that.
