Her2+ vs her2-

Hi again I am reading all these posts and noticing most are her2- cases

Is there anyone with the her2+ with advise on what the difference is please

    If you have a Her2 positive tumor, it means that your cancer cells are overexpressing a protein called Her2.  This protein makes the cancer cells divide more rapidly, which makes it more aggressive. HOWEVER,  there are VERY effective treatments for Her2 - Herceptin, TDM1, and Tykerb all work for Her2 + women.

     If you are Her2-, your cancer cells are not overexpressing this protein and the drugs mentioned will not help you.   These days, doctors consider being Her2+ a good thing because of these drugs.
