tumour location question
There was a old post regarding this but wan't to just question women who have had the lower breast cancers. My first time Jan/99 IDC .9mm er/pr+ clear nodes.Stage 1 grade 2 cancer was at the 6'oclock position left breast. this new one type not id'd yet, size not id'd but dr. feels approx. 1.5 cm, grade 3 and er neg on the right breast , also in the 7 oclock position. When I feel it ,it feels like it is sitting in between 2 ribs. is it? or because of where it it it just appears as if? If I'm feeling it sitting up its very firm and just below or at the bottom of my breast. When lying doen it feels like its on my rib. Is this just what it is supposed to feel like? Is it more serious if it is actually resting on my rib? Geesh I'm absolutely freaking out!!!Now I think that its on my bone.I see the surgeon on Monday, but am becoming more and more scared all the time!Maybe its because I don't know the stage or size or type of tumour like the first time, also this time its grade 3 and I'm feeling that it is spreading so fast since the core biopsy that I had Aug1..

Anamerty, I think changing position from sitting to lying would make it feel like it was closer to your ribs. I wasn't able to feel mine at all. It was at 5pm on right breast and very close to my chest wall. They may not be able to determine location until surgery. They say a biopsy does not cause cancer to spread faster, so try not to worry about that part. Worry makes everything seem more prominent--you're sort of hyper-aware. (((((HUGS)))))

Thats what I have been worrying about, the bio spreading the Ca. Mine is IBC, also at 5 O'clock, having to wait til I get BRCA results back, in 10-14 days! So I'm worrying on both counts, position and the long wait before surgery. Am E/Pr+, have to call them back on the grade.

What has happened since you last wrote Anamerty? I had to wait for BRACA test, which turned out neg, Havent had surgery yet, will see dr today to schedule. Panning to ask him about the location , mine is at 5 o'clock.
