Hi Ladies

I just want to see if there is anyone in my mother's shoes. She had a lumptectomy, chemo + rads for a TN DCIS in 08. Pretty much NED until Jan 2012 when they found a growing tumour at the same spot. Did a mastectomy, removed nodes (all positive) and found bone lung and liver mets.

She's doing chemo now - started with Gemcitabine/Cysplatin but stopped that due to a reaction, and is now on cycle 2/3 of FEC-100 which will be followed by at least 3 sessions of Taxeter.

Any TN ladies who had it recur and spread, and if so, how are you doing?

I just found out I'm pregnant with #2 and I want so bad for my mum to be around for this baby.

Good news... scan on her bone mets shows that its shrinking, bone around it is starting to heal! They said that the rads to it definitely helped it and they think the chemo is working as well. She should have a scan all over everything else in a few months. Praying that she'll be healthy for the birth of my next child... I just found out I'm pregnant, due in April 2013. :)
