Liver Resection?

Hi ladies..I was just wondering about any of your experiences with liver resection..I had mx on June 26th and will start 28 rounds of rads on Monday for that. I was Stage IV right out of the gate w liver mets..Onc is really pushing for this surg because I had 3 lesions and chemo knocked out 2. I am also Triple negative but am just looking for answers..I am so scared of this surg so any feedback would be fantastic..Thank you.

Hi I had liver resection in November of 2010 and followed up with chemo and faslodex. I had a good run from it until just this last month. I now have it diffused throughout my liver, inoperable.  Meet with a liver surgeon before you make your decision. I did not have that much removed and it grew back in a matter of a few months. I do not regret having it done. I also had ablation to the liver a year and a half prior to the resection. I did have recovery issues but it was wound management not the actual liver. Once again it all depends on how much  they want to remove and location, location, location.
