peau d'orange
okay...so i know i keep obsessing over this. i have asked questions, posted pics...repeatedly. but it is really hard to compare your breast to an orange. if somebody...ANYBODY can give a detailed description (or hell...even a vague description) of what it looks like /feels like i would appreciate it soooooo much!! i know it wont change the outcome of my testing thus far (had breast mri on friday) but my breast is just changing every day and i cant help obsessing.
thanks

thank you for responding. i am on my kindle so cant really see these pics but i have seen about everyone on the internet. sometimes i think mine is similar and sometimes i dont. i started off with just some rough looking skin...different texture from normal. then had the little pinhole look like you can really see the pores. again different than normal and have never seen that on myself before. now the little pinholes are raised around the edges with the holes being really pronounced in the center. i did have a skin punch biopsy of same breast but in a different spot and it showed just inflammation. again...i dont know why im obsessing over this so much cause im already set up with a bs at a good center but...what can i say. i guess im just the obsessive type. i just really want to know if this is what my breast is doing (peau d'orange that is). have you had this? -
ooooit hurts just to look at that.

I can understand the obsessing. No, no peau d'orange. Right now I've got a nasty red rash thing going on that the PA seems to think is an infected cyst... I've been doing a little googling to see if Dr. Google and I agree and I stumbled across these pics.
I hope you get an answer soon.

Hi - I looked at your pictures and I will say that they looked somewhat like a small area on my breast where I had skin involvement from my IDC/ILC tumor. 4 different doctors (1 MO and 3 breast surgeons) looked at my breast and said it was NOT peau d'orange and NOT inflammatory breast cancer. They all agreed the red area on my skin was caused by inflammation from my tumor stretching my skin - and pathology confimed this.
I hope this helps and you can soon find out what is causing your symptoms - and that it's a benign condition. Take care.

thank you mamabee. that does help

U poor ladies that looks so painful and sounds painful to have what u had.

lol...it doesnt feel good for sure. and i dont even know what i have yet. of course the pictures on the net are always the worst case scenario (looks wise that is). but from what i understand of ibc those symptoms tend to go away pretty quickly after starting chemo. -
What scares me is my left breast at the 2o'clock hour looks like the B picture but its a lot less intense/is closer to my breast bone/cheast versus my nipple. Austin Mom when do you find out your reasults.

i dont know. im hoping tomorrow but will try to be patient. have you had any testing? -
I had an ultrasound 7months ago when my armpit was first swollen. It was negative - but since then things have been getting worse so I'm gonna try to go for another ultrasound.
Patience is the hardest part of all of this. I feel like I'm crawling out of my skin.

mine kind of looks like b too but my breast is not swollen so i just dont know. well actally i think both breasts are swollen but not much difference betwern them. i havent been able to tolerate a bra in over a month because it makes the right one hurt so much.
