2 years for me! Yay for me!!!
Just wanted to share that I reached my two year milestone with my Her2+ cancer today. I was first diagnosed as stage I, then one month later was diagnosed stage IIIa. The over all size of my tumor was 7cm but microscopically it turned out to be mostly DCIS with multifocal areas of invasive cancer with the largest tumor being 1.6cm. I had four positive lymph nodes and lymph-vascular invasion. My tumor area went directly to the muscle of my chest wall and stopped. I also had paget's disease of the nipple. I am very happy to still be here!! I wanted to post here as well. I also posted on the stage III forum. I would love to hear from anyone regardless of what stage!!! So Yay for me!!!

Hi Kathleen,
I'm thrilled to hear you are thriving!! Hearing your story helps me move forward from my bc. I am also 2 years cancer free!! I had early stage Er-Pr- Her2neu +++. I had a large benign tumor at the age of 12 in my left breast and lots of scar tissue and dense breast tissue. So when I was diagnosed with IDC in my right breast, and after two unsuccessful lumpectomies, the doctor told me I needed a mastectomy, I opted for a bilateral mastectomy and reconstuction. I also had chemo (Taxol and Herceptin). I feel so blessed to have had the medical time I did. They all worked together to save my life! I'm grateful every day.
