    Hi Karen,

There's some helpful information in the chemo forum, specifically the Important Chemo Threads for Newbies thread, on tips for getting through chemo, wigs and hair coverings, and other good info.

    Hope this helps!

My favorite hats are brand name Life is Good...they have a slouchy beanie that is wonderful! So soft & I always get compliments when I wear them!!! They sell them at REI & I'm sure you can find them online too. Good luck!

Cutiegirl- Great tips from the Mods and Ismile, one of the places I liked to shop was TLC.org and Headcovers. Also, if you have an American cancer society near you, you can get free hats, wigs, mastectomy bras (if needed) They also have a "Look good feel good" class where they give you free makeup and show how to apply it, I think the class lasted about an hour and it was worth it. Sending best wishes to you!

    Hugs!

cutie - I will link another poster's hair growth timeline for you, I did not take pictures of my own:

    http://community.breastcancer.org/forum/69/topic/707348?page=618#post_3487207

Scroll down this page and you will see Carrol2's pics, also right above that post you will see one from lago with a link to her photos and timeline.

My hair grew back more slowly than the ladies in my BCO chemo group, but I was able to go without a hat/scarf/wig by my birthday the first week of October, I had ended chemo the first week of June - so I had very short hair that I could go out with by the 13 week point.
