Tumor markers

I was diagnosed with breast cancer in May and had a PET which showed one positive node. Otherwise it was clean. My CEA was 60 I just finished four rounds of a/c and it is now 44. I am grateful I responded to the adriamycin.

My question is does my high tumor markers mean I have metastic disease that did not yet show up? I am panicking about this.

    Probably not. Your high CEA was reflecting the fact that you had cancer in your body.
