Scared myself silly!!!

I just scared myself to death. White cell count has been high lately.No known reason. Just 15-17 right now.  decided to look it up on the internet. Boy was that a bad idea. Ran across a study done on breast cancer patients and their blood studies, especially those with nerve and vascular invasion. Seems their white cell count started going up months before they found the new site of the cancer. Freeked me out so bad I called my daughter and asked her to come get me from about 100 miles away. after she calemed me down from my hysterics, she reminded me that I had just had a cortisone shot for bursitis.

Anyone else have high or near high white cell count prior to a tumor being found, or have it go up after a cortisone shot in the hip joint?

I can't answer your last question but the internet can be psycological torture - avoid it like the plague when it comes to self diagnosis. Wait 'til AFTER your diagnosis then google options !!
