You didn't post what chemo they were starting you off on.  There are quite a few combos that can be tried, and I suspect they will be changing the regime.  Don't lose faith or hope.  While I, myself, did not go through this, I have read of other ladies on the TN boards, both here and on TNBCfoundation.org, that did go through the same thing.  Hang in there and let us know what they change you to.  I am wishing all the best for you so that the new combo will kick this beast to the curb.  Hang in there!

    Hi Caroline,

As Linda wrote, there are different combos they can try and I have also read of others who didn't have a response to some drugs but had a response to other drugs (are they giving you taxotere by itself, then was the plan to follow it with adriamycin and cytoxan?)  I know of one lady specifically who did not respond to the taxane drugs but ended up having a complete response when they switched her.  I only had a small response to chemo, but we didn't realize it until after the chemo had been completed when I had the surgery.  Because of this, I opted for more chemo in a clinical trial after surgery - but you may yet have a good response if they switch you up, so don't despair.  Best wishes to you - there is a very active triple negative thread here, "Calling all TNS" if you want to check it out.  Several women on there are presently going through chemo - we have women from New Zealand, Australia, Ireland, and other places.  There is also a very informative and friendly thread "Calling all women in the UK" that is active as well.
