Anyone interested in getting together here in Michigan ?

What would you like to do - I can try to organize a music,food, dancing event.. / When is a good time / and Where would a central location be ? Or I can make the arrangements.

I live in Brighton Mi My name is Shannon , and for those of you who do not know me or who we are, I am the older sister to Stephanie Dx 11-17-09 Age 30, Stage IV Mets to bone and liver, Her2+ PR- ER+ .

We are Stage 4 Traveling Pants...I have built a Non-Profit Organization on behalf of Metastatic Breast Cancer, but work for Breast cancer in general for everyone given this diagnosis , specializing in Metastatic needs though.

 I am game for a get together.   I am in SE Michigan - near Adrian.    Last time we met in Brighton was an easy drive for me.    Ann Arbor, Detroit, etc. are all good.  I'll check back and see if anyone else posts.   I never ever look in this section so you might need to make posts on other threads like you did in Stage IV.

Hi Shannon and Jen!  I just found this thread.  I live in Jackson and would love to get together with you anytime this summer.  Come fall I'm back to grad school at EMU - and internship and part-time job and 3 classes, so my life will not be my own until April and graduation (thank goodness for small favors).  There are a couple of others on here that I know are in the Michigan area - infobabe in Lansing, I believe, and bffforever in Ann Arbor, and Dorrie is in the Plymouth area.  A get-together sounds fund!

On another note - are either of you going to the Grass Lake retreat this summer in Manchester?  I don't know if you know about it or not, or if there are still openings, but it's virtually free (thanks to SGK) and open to BC survivors.  I'm going the last full week of July:

I also live in SE Michigan, Onsted.  It would be great to get together, but not sure if I could make it.  I have a couple of surgeries coming up...Hysterectomy Aug 20th, and BMX on Sept 10th.  I am trying to enjoy summer, and not worry too much!

The Grass Lake retreat looks like it would be a fun weekend!

hello from Michigan and would love to connect with anyone.  newly diagnosed.  Stage 1, did a double.  finished 3 round of chemo- 3 to go.   love to find someone in the area going thru this now to support each other
