Today is my 59th birthday.  I am almost at the 4 year mark.  My life has changed in ways that I never thought it would, all because of those words "you have cancer".  These boards have (at times) been a life line for me, I am thankful for everyone here.

At work they gave me a small cake (chocolate) decorated to look like a cheeseburger.  Adorable!  Full of artificial colors but on my birthday I think it's OK to splurge! Went out to dinner a couple of days earlier with my 2 teenage sons.  That was a major sacrifice on their parts as what teenager would be caught dead going out to dinner with his mother!  It was a great birthday present for me. My sister (who lives across the country) knew which restaurant we were going to.  She called them and told them it was my birthday, so the waiters brought a piece of cake with a candle in it and sang Happy Birthday.  A fun surprise!  All in all, had fun celebrations.

Today I turn 55, usually I don't make a big deal about the encroaching years BUT this year I want to shout it from the rooftops! I am so very grateful for being able to celebrate a birthday this year and I know I owe my C team a big thank you! I plan to be around for a lot more and will never be "down" about getting older. Life is so very sweet

Thank you everyone! Today was very special, I enjoyed it with dinner out with all those I love, I really could not ask for anything more.
