Favorite brand of donning glove?

What is your favorite brand of donning gloves?  I use Sigvaris's green gloves, and am wondering if anyone has found a brand that gives better traction.  Thanks KS1

Haven't tried Sigvaris, but the Jobst gloves work really well for me. When I need them, that is. Mostly I use an Ezy-As:

Cool!  I didn't know there was a slip-ez type thing that would work with closed end garments (like sleeve/glove combo).  Does it stretch out/damage your sleeves?  What size do you use on your arm?  KS1

KS, I worried about that too, but I've been using it for a couple of years and it's not a problem. I use the red one, which is the small. The other two sizes are used more for legs. I was really skeptical about this when I first got it, but I've been really happy with it now and use it all the time. I took it along to my fitter when I got new garments some time back, and now her company stocks them.

Another thought: if you're interested in a Slip-Ez type thing, the Easy-Slide does come in a style for closed-toe stockings, but I don't know if it would work for arms. You could ask if you're interested. BrightLifeDirect has an instructional video that shows how to use it for a leg:

Then there's this brand new donner for closed-end garments. My fitter had it last time I was in and we had fun playing with it. Doesn't work with a sleeve, but I think it would for a sleeve/glove combo:

Sigvaris green gloves have a dynamite grip compared to my  pink Medi ones.

I also keep a playtex pink one (grocery store one) in my purse and cut it off at the wrist to lighten up my purse. I works to smooth out the wrinkles and pull the sleeve back up.  I really like the Sigvaris grip the best.

Someone gave me a leg one and I use it for my sleeve sometimes but it has more material for the leg so I am careful when I pull it off otherwise the sleeve wants to go with it. 

I understand that the slippey is much easier on your garments. With the gloves we tend to pull on one spot, too much wearing and strectching out the compression garment.

Thanks for your suggestions!  I think I am going to take advantage of BrightLife's good return policy and try the easy-slide.  If it works with a sleeve/glove combo, it is much more packable than the Ezy-As.  (The Ezy-As website says that they are planning on making the device in kid sizes, which might be more suitable for small arms.

PS The prices of the Ezy-As and Easy Slide seem incredibly high for pieces of plastic... sometimes it seems like if something is LE-related, the price doubles.

Re prices - I was thinking the same. Crazy and I can top that. The supplier in Israel that sells the Medi95 glove (straight from Germany) told me he also has some kind of contraption for sleeve fitting from Medi. Costs here - MORE than $100. I only need a sleeve for flying so I'll think I'll try one of those slippy things that are on the SUSO site. -only (!) 15 $ for a little piece of fabric. Makes the donning gloves cheap.

Dassi, my LE PT suggested using a grocery store bag in place of the Easy Slide. Can't beat the price. I've found that the best thing for me is the disposable gloves. I always have a lot since I also use them on top of my gauntlet when i work in the kitchen.

Tried it at the NLN conference in Dallas. Was told it was filled with salt water. So I asked if it would be shot if jewelry or finger nails pierced it and it leaked, and the man said yes, shot.



Much prefer the Ezy-As for longevity.
