Just drove home in what felt like a blizzard! The pineapple express has arrived and is bringng rain or wet snow! When I drove home this afternoon around 3 or so, it was 65 degrees and now we are getting a snow storm. Welcome to New Mexico in the winter!

Bippy- what a beautiful cat! What is her name? Bed spread is awesome too.

Your surgery is this week, correct? Remind me of which day again please, and will be sending you healing energy.

Bippy- that is what I thought, and like Blondie says, we will be in your pocket on Wednesday. Get rested up before, it will make for a better recovery on the other side.

Ducky- great photo. You survivors rock, and what a great thing to post for those going through active treatment. Bippy, Mags, Maiden and others need all the encouragement we can give them. Others post treatment need it too.

Thank you for sharing. Made me feel good to see this!

Got some great news concerning my upcoming expander surgery. The surgical center called and confirmed that it will be done on an outpatient basis!

Bippy - physically it was not as bad as I anticipated........and with humane staff can be manageable emotionally I think, sadly the staff I had were the before team on the training video - "how to create a stressed patient"

Mommy- that is good news. My sister had hers on an outpatient basis. Always good to be able to go home to recover as quickly as possible. What date is your surgery?

Onco- funny, I saw that same graph on Linked In today and think it is just perfect. Although mine are more like "our project manager quit, we are behind schedule, the infrastructure group is getting outsourced, are you interested?" I seem to be the clean up woman now for this one client. Few mo weeks to go. Pushing through my final deadline on one project this week.

They call it the Pineapple Express because it originates in the south pacific near Hawaii where it picks up moisture with the tropical lows and then brings it up to the west coast and then here. Our storm was very brief on Saturday, left some pretty snow in the mountains here. Another storm is coming this week though.

Bippy, your kitties are so cute!  Roachie reminds me of a kitty I had as a little girl, she was a torty too, named Connie Louise.  She was such a good mother, she would take anybody's abandoned kittens and raise them as her own.  We lived on a farm with lots of cats, horses, dogs, cows, donkeys, chickens, and a couple of mules.  Good luck Wed, I'll be thinking of you!

Mommy, good news on the outpatient surgery.  I'll be having the same thing in a month or two.  I sure hope the foobs feel more natural than the TE' s.  I feel like I have 2 concrete blocks my chest. LOL!

Yaaay for outpatient surgery! Happy for ya mommy.

Maiden, roachie has the "tortitude" going. Your connie loiuse sounds like a beauty, inside and out. I always wanted to live on a farm! Roachie sleeps with us at night and is a great friend.

I am cooking like a maniac today enjoying my last day before BMX. I will be making cake of course because you always need to have one handy right? And I don't want to eat loads of processed food after surgery so I'm happy to have some of my favorites ready to go. DH has many gifts, but cooking is not one of them.

I think I'm disassociated because I'm not nervous and don't care at all about tomorrow. Rather I care, but I'm not freaked out or nervous or losing sleep. I'm good though and feel fine. Weird!!!!! My propensity for drama is receding I guess. Oh well...... I will post ya after surgery sistahs. Have a wonderful day and thanks all for the boosts!

Bippy, cute kitties now rest up for surgery.

MO, yes, outpatient surgery is good.

Ducky, Thank You for sharing the cheerful photo.

Maiden, still remember Mom's favorite long haired orange mother cat sweet Fluffy.

Bippy- I was always terribly nervous before my surgeries in the past, and then the day before, I seem to just let it all go and just blessed my medical team, doctors, OR folks and prayed for the best outcome to my situation.

Wishing you a successful procedure tomorrow and quick recovery!

No not my back yard, but have bourbon whiskey gathering dust in the kitchen cabinet for the toddy.

I would stay nice and toasty until Christmas Eve.
