hi all!
Patty, just read here that you were in hospital again, glad you're feeling better!
I'm having some lightheadedness & shakiness in the afternoon. I put a post on the Femera thread, but no answer so I thought I'd ask here, is anyone else having this? I'm on Ibrance but have been off it for 3 weeks now, just on Femera but my WBC have been low. Could this be causing it? I feel like it's low blood sugar but not particularly hungry when it happens. I get my labs done again tomorrow & have an appt with MO on Tuesday but in the meantime thought someone here might have a though about it.
I'll cross post this to the Ibrance thread as well. thanks all. cheers, dee
-
Dee, answering you here as well. Do you feel better after you eat something. I don't think it's a SE of letrzole.
Hugs Carol

Hi folks dropping in with a repost
On a mission regarding bladder control hope I don't get banned b/c of spamming. Love ya'll
Repost from Warm and Fuzzies. not appropriate to the site , but there were a couple of bladder leaking meme's. But this is a serious story has to do with the funny one about bladder leaking. All the docs will tell you about kegels. WELL, I inadvertently found a solution if you are a swimmer.
There is a swim stroke that I can't find the name for which I learned as a kid. It's meant to be a stroke to reserve energy if lost in the water and have to swim a long distance. I have been using it more frequently b/c I had a shoulder injury and was working the deltoids.
LOANDBEHOLD. The stroke increases bladder control. Takes maybe 2-4 weeks, but dependent I'm thinking on how often you use the stroke. I vary 3 strokes for particular reasons. Then I noticed better bladder control.
It's a back stroke. You bring up the arms from the side to the top. At the same time you bring up the legs in a frog position. Then you snap them down and glide. I kept working the movement harder, to get the work out of the deltoids. Then TADA, head slap moment, I noticed I didn't have the run for the bathroom after the pool or the hitting of the air conditioning. It was AMAZING. I know this isn't a funny on a funny page, but I'm posting this in as many places as I can. So, hahahaha. Leaking is no fun hope it helps, spread the word.
-
Sas,
If I'm reading your description correctly, it's called the elementary backstroke
-
Dee, I am sorry that you are still not feeling good. I hope things turn around soon. Maybe your labs will shed some light on things. If not, I hope your MO has an explanation and remedy. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Dee, I was thinking about your lightheadedness and shakiness... The fact that it comes on in the afternoon I think would seem to point to a blood sugar issue vs. anything more ominous. Do you know anyone who uses a blood sugar monitor and could check it for you?
-
Dee- I'm sorry you're still not feeling well. Deanna's suggestion sounds right on to me!
Babs -
Deanna, Babs,Carol & Lynne, I should get my lab results tomorrow and talk to MO about the shakiness and lightheaded feeling. I don't know anyone with a blood sugar monitor, but I had hypoglycaemia years ago, hadn't thought of it for 30 years til last week. Cheers, dee
-
Dee sorry to hear about your shakiness and lightheadedness I would concur with Deanna I have that occasionally as well it goes after I eat something.
Silvia good luck wishing you a great recovery.
Here's a pic from last weekends regatta was such a great time there were 10 breast cancer boats. The flower ceremony always makes me do the ugly cry. But there is nothing like being held in each other's thought and arms like this. It's a very new experience for me. Though sad.
-
Wendy, I was so hoping you would post a photo. What an amazing and powerful experience for you and the other women and 10 boats! I would love to do that. I can't row like that anymore (just kayak now for me) but I could be the the coxswain! How often do you get to row?
-
Oh, wow, Wendy, what a fabulous experience! I understand why it would make you cry! Good for you for getting out there! I'm so impressed and happy for you!
-
Beautiful picture Wendy thanks.
I keep reading but not posting much. Lots going on with my family. My sister had surgery and can not put weight on right foot. And my brother in law had an energy hospitalization. I guess when it rains it pours. Thinking of all of you.
Peace
Mary
-
Mary, That is terrible. You have been through so much already this year, I am sad and sorry to hear about these latest events. Why did your sister have surgery? How long will she be unable to put weight on her foot? Is your brother-in-law's surgery related to his illness or is this a new issue? Does your sister have help? I hope you aren't putting this all onto your own shoulders. It is too much for anyone to handle alone. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.
Hugs to you,Lynne
-
Wendy,
What is that GORGEOUS building in the background? My DH and I want to add it to our list of places to visit.
Thanks!

Lindalou I row about four times a week I joined everything all the regattas the rest of the woman think I'm a bit crazy but I figure I don't know how long I can do this. I even will be rowing with a men's team this weekend for prostate cancer they didn't have enough rowers so I volunteered. I also joined another club doing out riggers for September to December because the dragon boats finish end of September. I really feel like this whole experience has helped my health all the fresh air and hard excerise and most of all joining together with a group of woman who get you is priceless. I recommend it to everyone who can paddle. There are woman on the boat with many health issues and some are in their eighties. So anyone can give it a go😊

hi ladies,
I don't really come on here anymore. You guys are wonderful but I think I'm just too sick for you. I have an appointment at Memorial Sloan Kettering September 1st. I don't think current chemo is working, no reduction in pain. I'm still alive though
-
Cristina, No one is ever too sick to be here. You have been going through a terrible time for quite a while, and I know it is not easy on you. It saddens me to hear that you are feeling so bad and have had progression, but if we can't be counted on to support you and listen to you, who can be? We are always here for you in good times and bad. What you are going through is too much for you to handle yourself. Please feel free to lean on us. As I told you in my PM, I am praying for you - praying for pain relief, praying for treatment that will turn things around, praying for many more good years with your beautiful children. You were among the first people I met on this thread. Many things have happened to all ofus since then, but we still care about you. I realize that you aren't feeling well and that it might be a struggle for you to post. We would like to hear from you if you are able to join us here and let us know how you are doing.
Sending you love and hugs,
Lynne
-
Cristina, you are in my thoughts and prayers whether you're posting here or not, and I know I'm not the only one because concern for you is often expressed both here and in conversations away from BCO. You're part of our BCO family, and I hope you'll update us anytime, but especially after you've been to MSK. I'm sorry you don't think your current regimen is working, but I hope it's at least holding things at bay for now. I wish it was doing a better job on your pain, but hopefully MSK will have some new ideas for you. Please let us know what you find out! (((Hugs))) Deanna
-
Cristina, you are never too sick to come here! Like others, I hope that MSK has some answers for you. I've just come out of a bad spell and I know it's tough, but we are all here for you. ((Hugs)) dee
