Hello, I posted this in the stage 1-2 section but thought it should really go here -  My mom is two years out from stage 2a, grade 2, no nodes, er/pr+, her- breast cancer in her right breast. Today she saw her oncologist for a every 6 month appointment and the Dr. thought she could feel a slightly enlarged lymphnode in her arm pit on the left side! It is the opposite side! She is scheduled for a ultrasound in three weeks!!! Soooo painfully long away! Has this ever happened to any one where it turned out to be nothing? The Dr kept saying she doesn't think its anything and my mom doesnt even know its there, but it must be concerning enough to warrant futher testing and that is just making me sick to my stomach....Two years ago she was treated with dd ac/t, rads and has since been on arimidex. Does this disease ever just let you breath easy???? Thank you so very much for listening...

I have a slightly enlarged lymphnode on the opposite side from my cancer - the doc says it's nothing, probably a little stressed from my implant.  There are a billion things that can make the lymphnode swell - she could be fighting a cold or something and not know it.  I know it's hard, but try to be calm.   Can you ask that the test be moved up?

Thank you sweetbean. It helps to know others have had something like this that has turned out to be not cancer spread. I am praying my heart out that this is the case here..... Thank you for replying!!!!
