I took the other half of my boob cake out of the freezer!

Today marks the one year anniversary of my UMX with direct to implant reconstruction.  Today has been a normal day, much like any other over the past few months.  I've been busy with errands, PT,  hair cut, yoga class...but I have also been reflective of where I was this time last year and where I am today.  So grateful and happy to be well and whole and as far as I know "cancer free".   

I cracked my physical therapist up this morning.  I was lying on the table during my treatment, and I suddenly remembered I had forgotten to remove other half of the cake that my friends made me for my boob voyage party last year from the deep freeze.  I blurted out, "Damn!  I forgot to take my boob cake out of the freezer!". We both got the giggles and laughed until tears were streaming down our faces.  

I feel good and I feel blessed by my friends and family who were with me every step of the way.  I also am so grateful for all of the women on this board who were there to help and inform and support.  Thank you so much.  I feel very close to some of you even though we have never met.  

Onward toward making year two healthy and happy. Cake anyone?

My sister-in-law suggested I have a "going away party" before my BMX.  I wondered if others had done that.  Glad to hear you are doing well...congrats!
