I have no clue as to where to put this topic, so here goes !

Can anybody help me out with the caqncermath ? I am 54 yrs old and my stats are in my signature. I skipped rads (clean margins, clear nodes) and have not yet begun the tamoxifen.

When I enter all this in, it basically says I will die one yr sooner (w/out any add'l tx!)  Though I'd LOVE to believe that ( who among us wouldnt ?) I know something is awry.

Can somebody help ?

Please PM me.

Thanks!

Purple32, I think that the predictive tools in Cancermath presume for the calculations that the patient who has a lumpectomy also has radiation.  If you did not have radiation, in theory your chance of local recurrence could be higher that for the patient who has radiation.

Since Cancermath is mainly about survival/mortality rather than recurrence, as I understand it, the issue of not having radiation would only become relevant if a local recurrence were to spread.

Either way, it appears that you have a very good prognosis, statistically.Smile
