Wanting advice after failed reconstruction

Options

Hello ladies. I had my implants removed last week after having one infected a week after I got them. Quite devastating. Well now I'm looking into breast forms to help me feel some what normal again. Does anyone have any recommendations of what works and likes and dislikes. I was a 36c before, but I don't want a heavy form so I was thinking of going A. Any advice would be appreciated.

    Hello Sayomm,

I'm sorry that you're having to deal with this.  I too was a 36C before surgery, but never did reconstruction.  Afterwards I got forms that made me a 36A but didn't wear them all that much due to some issues.  Further down the line I got foam forms a size smaller, then silicone forms a size smaller than that even, which ended up being a waste of time and led me to going form-free most of the time.  I recently found some forms that are comfortable to me and have worn them for several days to give them a fair trial.  They are once again the size to make me a 36A and these forms are finally comfortable, but I still don't know how often I'll end up wearing them.

There is a thread in this forum called "All things bras & prosthesis" started by Starak which is still coming up on the first page of this forum.  It contains information on several different forms. There is also a wonderful site with lots of valuable information run by a user here called Erica http://breastfree.org/
