Grandma Dee goes in for a MRI on friday, well I guess tomorrow eh? Anywhoo so this MRI how soon will we have results? I guess its the final step? They arent doing anymore testing once we have those results, or at least thats what I am being told. I dont understand, but maybe I will once we have the results? So many damn questions its so frustrating and annoying.

So I am hopefull for a short waiting period, 3 days was okay. Please no longer than that, I think I literally might go crazy.

She is going to drink or being infused with dye too to check either her kidneys or her liver. My dad told me kidneys because she has red palms and I guess that could mean something really bad. But from my research red palms means something bad for the liver. I dont know, Im getting everything 2nd and 3rd hand and its not good.

And then I guess once we have the results and know exactly what were dealing with she will be staged or whatever and we will talk treatment.

So anyone been through a MRI? Before I start my research on it. I wish she was getting a PET scan from what I have read they are the best.

My wife got a breast MRI when she got the biopsy. I believe the PET/CT was done soon after the MRI.

The MRI is noisy but there is no physical sensation of anything at all--no pain at all. My wife doesn't like confined spaces and the MRI machine is like being slid into a large pipe....so she was happy (mentally) to be done with that.

It may be the case the insurance company wants the MRI done first and then will pay for the PET/CT if the MRI results don't provide all the answers.

It was 2 or 3 business days before we found out the results.
