BTW top tip for having drain removed:

Deep breath in, then long exhale when it comes out. Really makes it easier.

If your medic does not suggest this to you make sure to ask them to do it on the exhale.

I do need to thank BC for my recliner. I have to go shopping today, then dinner out, and exercise... but I plan to join the group relaxing in the recliner tomorrow (after picking a tree).

What music? I have a very eclectic collection of music, from 60's folk music to jazz to classical and opera. I have a special weakness for Chopin, it's my go-to music if I am stressed. Nocturnes could play all the time in my ideal world. But here's what I've been listening to lately:

I had one drain that was slow... Chloesmom, have they told/shown you how to strip the drain pinching a small alcohol wipe around the tube? It made it much more efficient for me. I do not like the "milking" image! (I actually tried to disassociate the drains from my breasts/lack thereof - I do not deal well with blood etc... clearly, I am getting better about that out of necessity).

Mags, is your collection CD, IPOD, or do you listen on computer? I don't listen to much right now, but I am trying to change that. I made note of your selections.Thanks! Nel was listening to Andrea Bocelli (sp) holiday album - I googled. I need music for decorating

The BC used super glue. No bandages the incisions are so neat. So glad he listened to my wishes

Yeah, they used the glue for my re-excision because the tape made me break out. It was still there when they did the mx. It's not bad looking tho. Wonder if you could draw on it with a sharpie.

Lol re: the glue. Nearly seven months later I am still picking bits of glue from incision.

Daisy, I have nearly 2000 songs on my iPad, somewhat less on my iPhone and lots more on the computer. I also have an iPod that I use when I want to play it loud, as I have a couple of speaker sets that take an iPod. When the iPhone & iPad went to lightning connectors, it messed us up as we had so many of the others. I mostly listen on my iPhone, but for some reason I don't have my Christmas music on it. I think because my old iPhone didn't have enough room, and I forgot to update it.

For Christmas music I have an equally eclectic collection. Lots of Mannheim Steamroller, a bunch of 40's secular stuff, lots of choir collections for carols. Von Trapp Children have a lovely album. Then I have a playlist I called Old Christmas and it's a collection of really old carols, plainsong, Latin, Old German and French, a very interesting mix. The whole Messiah by Handel. And for the Celtic lover in me, a Chieftains album called Bells of Dublin. One of my favorite Celtic group is Eden's Bridge, and they have A Celtic Christmas, which is lovely.

Came home last night and am resting in the recliner. The side that had the hematoma is flat now but black and blue from the 2nd surgery. Go back on the 22nd to get drains out ah hopefully get pathology report. It looks so good I'm not depressed,but feel liberated!

Here's a pic of me last night, still flat and fab, but no longer bald. The young lady is one of DH's team members, it was thei Christmas party (he is the manager). Her name is Hollie, and every year we have a picture together. She is young enough to be my daughter, but we have one of those special connections. She was saying how much she loved the short hair, and when mine comes back I should wear it like that.i told her DH loves me bald, too, he says I have a perfect head. She said, "I want to see!" So I showed her the pic above, and she agreed.

The sweater has Santa in his sleigh ready to take off on the other side, and a big star on the back.

DH wore his Christmas tie. Ain't he cute?
